EXERCISE OF THE WEEK

Try This for Rounded Shoulders!

Do 4 sets of 10 reps:

  • Start with a lighter weight DB to start

  • Perform a standard upright row - start with DBs down at front hips with wrists facing away from the body;
    -  pull
     the DBs towards your chin keeping elbows out (as if you were pulling your pants up really high);
    at the peek of the upright row, push DBs straight out and then let them down to start in a controlled manner - continue for 9 more reps.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK

Modified Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey

Ingredients:

1 lb. of Collard Greens

1 Large onion

1 Large Reduced Salt Chicken Broth

1 TBLS. of Garlic Salt

1 Large Smoked Turkey Leg

3/4 tsp. of coarsely ground black pepper

Boil chicken broth; 3 cups of water, chopped onion, turkey leg and spices.  Add fresh Collard Greens (either pre-cut) or completely cleaned and stripped at stalk.  Let simmer for 1 1/2 hour and serve hot.  Add hot sauce for added KICK!
